So over the weekend I finally went and saw the Dark Knight Rises. After seeing it, all I had was a feeling of “Meh.”
While I was thinking about doing an On the Couch episode for it, it’s not really worth it. I thought about doing a written review, and again, it’s not really worth it. So I’ll just sum up my thoughts here quickly.
The movie isn’t bad, but there’s nothing memorable in it. Unlike The Dark Knight where people are still quoting Joker lines, this movie has none of that. I actually had to look up quotes for today’s comic since I couldn’t remember any myself.
It is a big epic movie, but that seems to have been its downfall since the last two were up close and personal and really tried to drag you into what was going on. This movie skips and jumps through time, never really giving any sense of danger or suspense.
For those of you out that have seen it, what are your thoughts? We’d be interested to know since many people seem divided on this one.
