The Slasher Monster
Here’s the Halloween comic!
I do apologize for it not being as elaborate as last year’s, but my brain is still speaking to me in physics, chemistry and math gibberish that, to my displeasure, I must try to understand. My brain being overloaded with SCIENCE!!!, please excuse my lack of… elaborate…eeer…stuffz…
So this brings me to the subject of classic 80’s slasher flicks. Yes, I’ll admit I haven’t seen all of them, as you all know by now that I am a complete and total wuss. I am proud to say that I’ve seen the Nightmare on Elm Street series, as well as the remake, I’ve seen most of the Friday the 13th movies, and all of the Halloween movies.
I like the Halloween franchise. Just the music in the first film makes you uncomfortable, kind of like that unforgettable piece from The Exorcist (creep value of that one is off the scale). It was a very ‘real’ movie, the characters are believable for the most part, and what makes it scary and uncomfortable is you could see it happening. Out of the three main slasher icons, Jason, Freddy and Myers, Myers remains the more believable (unless you count the gazillion sequels). And I even got Boo to watch the Halloween movies even though he’s more of a Jason fan.
Halloween, the first movie, is a true classic. I strongly suggest you curl up with your wife, husband (for the love of all that is holy, put your children to bed BEFORE you watch the movie), best friend, dog, or blanket and pillow and enjoy the creepy!
Do it or you’ll make Micheal cry.
