Today is Anzac Day in Australia and New Zealand (And other countries have started celebrating it as well). If you’re not sure what that is, it’s our remembrance day. It was originally the day we stopped to honour those who fought at Gallipoli during World War 1. Now days it’s more of a general remembrance day for all those who have died in service.
While I contemplated writing something with humour today, I thought it could end up in bad taste. So in turn I thought about the characters we had and how it could look having them all together remembering those they have lost.
Personally, I’m not a fan of war, or military or anything like that. It’s a real shame in today’s day and age we still have to live with them, but for now there’s not much we can do.
So with today’s comic, I thought it was nice to show that no matter where you’re from, what you believe in, you can still take the time to remember those who we’ve lost, and not just those who’ve died in service, but for all those we’ve lost.
Take the time today to remember someone, remember how they impacted your life, remember all the good times shared with them and smile. While it can be sad they’re gone, they’ll always live on in our memories.
An unrelated note from Panda:
I decided to have Baby with Moo, since Baby is the head honcho villain in our TEC strips, and Moo being his lackey. I wanted at first to have Baby slumped on Moo’s shoulder with a dopey sleeping expression on his face, but then I thought it kind of clashed with the seriousness of the strip. So I went with the cuteness of simply having him sleeping, cupped in Moo’s massive beefy arm!
