Hey gang! As you should all know by now I’m finally moving to Canada! Which of course explains that lack of comics recently as I’ve been busy saying goodbye to everyone along with trying to sell just about everything I own/pack stuff and generally make sure I have everything in order before I go. I’m aiming to be in Canada in the first or second week of September, which will mark the first time Marie and I will actually be living “permanently” in the same country. Crazy stuff.
But during all this time I did manage to find some time to go out and see Guardians of the Galaxy. Like the other movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s damn good. And much like how I really enjoyed Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of the Hulk in Avengers, Vin Diesel as Groot really stole the show for me. If you’ve been enjoying the ride that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Iron Man 1, 2 and 3, Thor 1 and 2, Captain America 1 and 2, and Avengers; for those that don’t know which Marvel movies exist in the MCU) it’s well worth seeing. As it’s not only a great stand alone movie, but also adds to the next chapter in what is turning out to be my favourite reason for going to the movies.
To sum up, I am Groot.
